Can You Reheat Steak In An Air Fryer?
You certainly can. Also, reheating steak in the air fryer is INCREDIBLE. You see, if you reheat steak on the burner, you’re more likely to forget how long you’ve been warming it for or to use the incorrect temperature. Alternatively, grill the steak over a high heat.
While reheating steak in the air fryer, you may set the temperature and it will beep when it’s done. It’s similar to how you can manage the temperature when you perform sous vide.
What Is the Best Way to Reheat Steak?
As you might expect, the best way to reheat steak is in an air fryer.
The air fryer keeps your steak from drying out, allows you to cook leftover fries at the same time, and allows you to add more sauce to your steak for a wow effect.
Even better, with the air fryer, you can maintain the steak at the original temperature. If you like your steak medium rare, you’ll be glad to know that you can reheat it to the same temperature.
Assume you’re preparing your steak ahead of time. You may purposefully undercook your steak to ensure proper doneness.
How to Reheat Steak in an Air Fryer?
Steak is one of those foods that, usually, does not reheat well the next day. That is, until I tried reheating steak in my air fryer.
As you are surely aware, warming leftover steak in the microwave or oven results in rubbery, unappealing beef. It can be reheated in the oven, although it takes a long time.
However, reheating leftover steak in an air fryer can result in a properly cooked steak in less time than it takes to heat up your oven. Yes, it will be a little more done than the first time you cooked it, but it will still be delicious and juicy (unlike the microwaved version).

Leftover steak: thick cut steak yields the greatest results, and even better results if it was on the rare side to begin with. This is because the remaining steak will have enough time in the air fryer to reheat through before being entirely overdone.
When reheating steak in an air fryer, a brief spritz or light brush of olive oil can assist produce the best results.
Directions
Step 1: Take the steak out of the refrigerator and pat it dry. Brush or spritz the steak lightly with olive oil.
Step 2: Preheat the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 380°F/ 190°C. This is critical because you want the air fryer to be hot as soon as you set the steak in it to avoid it from getting overdone on the outside before the middle is warmed.
Place the steak in the air fryer basket. If you’re reheating many pieces of steak, arrange them in a single layer. Make sure the steaks are not touching and that the hot air can reach all sides of the steak to properly reheat it.
If you’re going to reheat more than one batch of steaks in your air fryer, group leftover steaks of comparable thickness together. Because steak thickness is the primary determinant of how long it takes to reheat, this will assist to avoid some steaks from getting overdone before others have warmed through.
Step 4: Air fried leftover steak for 2-3 minutes at 380°F/ 190°C. Check the internal temperature after each interval, flip the steak over, and continue warming until the steak reaches at least 110°F/43°C in the thickest portion.
Step 5: Serve with garlic butter or your favorite steak sauce and enjoy!
How Long Should Steak Be Reheated In An Air Fryer?
The time it takes to reheat leftovers depends on the thickness of the cut, but 3 to 5 minutes is generally plenty.
I always use an Instant-Read meat thermometer to ensure the middle is nice and heated before removing the steak.
Tips For Reheating Steak
- Thicker. Thicker steak will warm faster and stay juicier longer.
- The steak will reheat better if it is served rare. If the steak was cooked to medium-rare before reheating, it will turn out better than if it was cooked to well done.
- Added fat. When reheated, a fattier steak, such as ribeye, will be juicier than a thin steak.
- More time. The length of time it takes for your steak to cook through will be determined by its thickness. If it’s a little thicker, it’ll take longer to heat through, so add 1 minute at a time.
How Do You Reheat a Steak Without Overcooking It?
The temperature is the key to reheating steak without overcooking or drying it out.
